working woman!

The time is right to share my good news and the reason behind all the webinars and trainings with which I've been occupied!

This week I accepted a position as a speech-language pathologist for Access Therapy Group in Clifton Park, NY beginning November 1st. I also signed on as an independent contractor for telepractice pioneer Presence Learning based out of San Francisco.

I am so grateful for these opportunities and it has been a long couple of months waiting for my state licensure to be processed!

I am even more grateful that we found a childcare provider for Henry in a warm, home-like atmosphere. He will be starting at Christ Church (Episcopal) next week.

The timing is impeccable. While I have enjoyed every moment of my time exploring our new state and spending the days with my baby boy (ok toddler!), I know it is time for something more. Henry needs the socialization and structure that a school setting provides and with us not having a social network here, it's even more imperative for his development. And to be honest, we also need the income! Saratoga is quite the expensive little town.

I'm looking forward to diving in and savoring these last weeks at home! Like clockwork, I'm becoming increasingly sentimental and a little weepy about being away from Henry! But luckily, I'm starting out with a part-time caseload which gives us all time to get acclimated.

Cheers to new beginnings!
