Living in Saratoga has many perks, but one of my very favorites is being in close proximity to the Adirondack Mountains. It is completely possible to take a roadtrip to the mountains during the day and sleep in your own bed that night. with Adirondack Park spanning over a million acres, the possibilities are truly limitless. For our first family adventure to the park, we opted to visit the Adirondack Museum. To quote their website, It is an open-air historical park with "exhibits dedicated to the region's natural and cultural history, including hands-on areas for kids." I agree and must add that it was also the most toddler-friendly facility we have ever visited. If you are ever in upstate New York, consider a visit.
