living room progress: part one

Saratoga is slowly starting to feel like home, and I know that getting settled in our rental and being surrounded by familiar belongings is a big part of that.

Today I am going to share a few details from our living area.  I love our rustic mantle and stone fireplace, especially the surrounding built-ins. While I would love to style everything to fit the modern and somewhat masculine asthetic, it only made sense to use what we own. The same went for mounting our TV. The room was clearly designed for the television to be mounted above the fireplace, including outlets. But the cost of buying mounting equipment and the potential for damages gave us pause with this being a rental property;  we will, however, consider it down the road.

I love the style of our fan & it has been so practical this summer; we have avoided using AC several times because of it.
