Peter and I celebrated three years of marriage on April 4th. I know that is practically still the newlywed period, but our marriage has weathered a lot of storms during that time frame! I am grateful for all the lessons we have learned because of it, and I hope the next three years will bring peace, love and stability!  For our anniversary we took a trip to North Carolina to visit family, relax at the beach and....look at property for a future beach home! In the end, we did not end up purchasing this particular property, but it sparked a lot of conversations and left us inspired. Do we want to sell our home in Raleigh and buy a place at the coast that we can use while living in New York? Do we want to save and buy a vacation property in the next 10 years? What's new and exciting is that for the first time, I am willing to consider giving up our precious home in Raleigh for a more simple way of life and something that would allow us a good deal of freedom. It may be too soon to tell, but at least we had a beautiful backdrop for contemplation! It was a perfect weekend.
