This weekend we took an afternoon drive to Schroon Lake in the Adirondack Mountains. It was approximately an hour drive from our home in Saratoga Springs, NY and well worth the effort. The downtown area is super charming and in the winter the lake is frozen solid and you can walk, ski, or snow mobile on it. I walked and pulled Henry on a sled. We talked to ice fishermen and watched people zip by on snow mobiles. It was an unusual 40-degree day mid February! The sun was warm and bright and made the snow and ice sparkle. We actually felt pretty cozy in our snow suits after a few sled runs and a snow ball fight.
