shaking things up

Life has been so simple and sweet lately and during those times I find it the most difficult to step out of my comfort zone. Inevitably something always comes along to coax me along!

I recently finished the Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up and it was a great motivator to continue on my path toward cultivating a more minimal lifestyle.

It also opened up more space (literally and figuratively) for me to do some styling work for a friend's new brand.

I just wrapped the project this evening in North Carolina and it was magic...well worth the risk of stepping away from my comfortably sweet life for a week!

And next week I will be back at home, picking tiny tomatoes, making tomato pies and soaking up the remaining days of summer with my little. As always, I'll cherish the slowness but this time I think I will be a lot more eager for something to come along and shake things up.

Quiche is such an easy comfort food! I whipped this one up with all the ingredients we had left in our kitchen at the end of the week.
